These hormones cause the following reactions to prepare you to fight or run:

-Adrenaline makes blood flow towards your muscles, heart and brain away from your skin and digestive tract.

-The connection between stress and heart disease is that prolonged stress causes the adrenal glands to continue secreting adrenaline. The long term rapid and forceful heart rate lead to heart disease and the extra blood sent to the heart has also been found to be destructive.

-You don´t need to digest when you are being attacked so the secretion of norepinephrine shuts down the digestive track. The result of long-term stress can include constipation, diarrhea and many other digestive problems. Further, more tan 50% of your protein, B and C vitamins are not absorbed if you are under stress.

-When the body is under stress it secretes cortisol that suppresses the immune system. It also alters sleep behavior because your hormonal rhythm is affected.

-Finally, these glands secrete DHEA, which is used to create estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. When long-term stress causes problems with the adrenals it can lead to hormonal imbalances.

Periods of intense or prolonged stress can lead to a condition known as adrenal fatigue. There´s a method to test adrenal gland function and for all this reason is obviously very important to get tested and take remedial action if necessary.

Heavy metal toxicity is an excessive build-up of metals in the body. The most common heavy metals that humans are exposed to are aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury. Heavy metal toxicity may in fact be the real root cause of most health disorders and diseases today. Heavy metal toxicity can produce vague symptoms that sometimes may be mistaken for other chronic conditions such as Autism, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis and a host of other serious disorders. Heavy metal ions produce large quantities of free radical compounds which destroy lipids, proteins, and DNA in the cellular system. Free radicals damage our cells, prevent cell stabilization, and create an overly acidic terrain in the body. Heavy metals are found in everyday existence and are frequently hard to avoid entirely. Most people can excrete toxic heavy metals from the body successfully. However, some people, (especially those who suffer from chronic conditions) cannot excrete them efficiently enough and a build-up occurs.

You may have heavy metal toxicity of you are experiencing any of these symptoms:
-Chronic pain throughout the muscles and tendons or any soft tissues of the body
-Chronic malaise- general feeling of discomfort, fatigue, and illness
-Braing fog- state of forgetfulness and confusion
-Chronic infections such as Candida
-Gastrointestinal disorders, such as gastritis, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, gas, heartburn, and indigestion
-Chronic fatigue
-Weight gain or loss
-Nervous system malfunctions - burning extremities, numbness, tingling, paralysis, and/or an electrifying feeling throughout the body.

Heavy metals cause the body to produce cholesterol and prevent the absorption of calcium. And, the more free heavy metal ions in the body, the more build-up of acidic waste and hence the more calcium that gets deposited in the arteries.

pH BALANCE TEST The pH of any solution is the measure of its hydrogen-ion concentration. The higher the pH reading the more alkaline and oxygen rich the fluid is. The lower the pH reading, the more acidic and oxygen deprived the fluid is. The pH range is from 0 to 14, with 7.0 being neutral. Anything above 7.0 is alkaline, anything below 7.0 is acidic.

Human blood pH should be slightly alkaline (7.35-7.45). Below or above this range mean symptoms and disease. Our glands and organs function properly in proportion to the amount of alkaline and acid levels in our system.

The current typical Western diet is largely composed of acid-forming foods (proteins, cereals, sugars). Alkaline producing foods such as vegetables are not eaten enough. Stimulants like tobacco, coffee, black tea and alcohol are extremely acidifying. It is important to consume at least 60% alkaline-producing foods in our diet in order to maintain health.

If you have health problems, most likely you are suffering from acidosis. Acidosis will decrease the body´s ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients, decrease energy production in cells, decrease its ability to repair damaged cells, decreased its ability yo detoxify heavy metals, make timor cells thrive, and make it more susceptible to fatigue and illness.

An extended time in the acid pH state, can result in rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, lupus, tuberculosis, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, most cancers and many more. For all this reasons, it is highly recommended that you have your pH levels tested to determine if your body´s pH need immediate attention.
